Silica Based Water Repellent
NYACOL K-Sol is a water-dilutable solution of potassium methyl siliconate designed to be used as a surface treatment in applications that utilize its ability to impart a water repellent surface and reduce water absorption.

PRIMARY APPLICATIONS
NYACOL K-Sol imparts water repellency to a wide variety of substances and is recommended for use on concrete, bricks, sandstone, limestone and ceramics. Supplied at a concentration of 32 percent in water, K-Sol must be diluted to a concentration of 3 percent or less before application.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
NYACOL K-Sol can be applied by dipping, spraying or brushing. Always test the concentration on a small sample of the material to determine the suitability of the specific use. The surface to receive the water-soluble siliconate should be lightly dampened immediately prior to application. The siliconate forms a permanent insoluble chemistry by reacting with the concrete.
Existing surfaces: This water-soluble siliconate does not wet surfaces that have been previously treated with siliconate or another water repellent treatment.
