Thus, it has similar performance as AFCONA –3777 in the same solid content form. AFCONA-3277 is a fluorocarbon modified polyacrylic. It can serve as non-silicone leveling agent, where silicone is not permitted due to intercoat adhesion problems. However, we highly recommend the usage of combination with a suitable Polysiloxane for better overall performance, if silicones are permitted. If the requirements are to solve problems caused by high surface tension or to bring down the surface tension strongly, AFCONA-3700 will be a better choice. AFCONA-3700 is also nearly 100% active and due to the higher fluorocarbon content more effective with a lower dosage. AFCONA -3700 has better compatibility properties than AFCONA-3277. However, the foam stabilizing effect is slightly higher.
